February 27, 2024 - IT Teacher

 

OMTC is seeking applications for an Information Technology Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about training students in IT. Responsibilities include: facilitate instruction in the IT program, manage classroom to ensure a productive and safe learning environment, demonstrate advanced techniques in IT,  build strong relationships with industry and post-secondary partners, and coordinate SkillsUSA activities for students.


Sponsorship of an Esports club is included and an extra duty stipend is provided. The applicant must be able to obtain Teacher Certification through one of the following paths:

  • Verify a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an area appropriate for the subject area being taught and four thousand (4,000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years. 
  • Verify an associate’s degree in an area appropriate for the subject area being taught and five thousand (5,000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years. 
  • Verify six thousand (6,000) hours of related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years. 



**Additional coursework will be required through University of Central Missouri to receive teaching certification.

Mtn. Grove Middle School is currently accepting applications for a RISE (Restorative Instruction=Students Excel) Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.  A successful teaching candidate must hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.  The candidate must be able to establish effective working relationships with staff and students. March 26, 2024 - Health Sciences Instructor

 

Ozark Mountain Technical Center is accepting applications for a Health Sciences Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will require the candidate to obtain a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching certificate as well as a CNA Instructor certificate from the Department of Health and Senior Services. Qualifications include: registered nurse (RN) license in Missouri, 5000 hours of work experience in the nursing field in the past ten years, and one year experience in the provision of LTC Facility services within the last five years. Must be willing to complete the AHA BLS Instructor and Examiner course to receive certification. Duties will include but are not limited to: develop/implement lesson plans, schedule clinical rotations, demonstrate and assist students in the skills lab and during direct patient care at clinical facilities, and build strong relationships with postsecondary and industry partners. The candidate will be expected to be active in the HOSA organization including but not limited to fundraising, leadership events, competitions, and community service. Additional coursework will be required to obtain DESE teacher certification. March 26, 2024 - ES Focus Room Teacher

 

The Mountain Grove R-III School District has an opening for a Focus Room Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The Focus Room Teacher is responsible for providing support to the instructional program and being part of a multi-tiered system of support for effecting behavioral changes in the building. The position is responsible for working individually or in small groups to manage daily behaviors, analyze data, provide intervention assistance, and implement discipline.  The teacher works with students, staff, and parents in the development and implementation of behavior management plans. The focus room additionally works as an in-school suspension room  to allow students to remain in school within a separate learning environment.  The teacher will act as a facilitator between parents and staff to help ensure success for students at school. Behavior intervention strategies and/or experience is preferred. This teaching position will work directly and collaboratively with the building Assistant Principal and Tiered behavior teams. Individuals must develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and establish effective relationships with parents and students. Applicants must have cross-categorical special education certification or another acceptable special education certification or be eligible for consideration for employment.
